Dom Ochotorena is a Filipino artist born in Manila and currently based in Valencia, Spain. Growing up amid the vibrant chaos of Manila and the tropical, color-saturated landscapes of the wider Philippines has shaped his artistic eye from the start, instilling a natural pull toward vibrancy, warmth, and humor that runs through his work. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Manila and a Master's degree in Graphic Design from Barcelona, and has built a dynamic career as a graphic designer and illustrator. 

Over the years, Dom has published six children's illustration books, developing a distinctive style that merges playfulness with profound storytelling. His love for rubber-cutting, which began in 2010, has since led him to explore a wider range of artistic expression. His work has been exhibited in the Philippines and Italy, and his illustrations for children's literature earned him an Honorable Mention at the 2016 Alcala Prize by the Philippine Board on Books for Young People.  He is currently at work on his latest series, OK, Butt l'm Sunburned - a vibrant collection of paintings exploring queerness, humor, and the sun-soaked spirit of life in Spain. Painted through a Mediterranean summer in Valencia, the series captures a mood of joyful defiance: bold, unapologetic, and full of color - quite literally getting his butt sunburned along the way.
