Gala Pont is an illustrator and educator born in Granollers, Barcelona in 1992. She studied Fine Arts and completed a Postgraduate degree in design at EINA while training as a self-taught illustrator. Her interest in illustration began at age seven when a teacher encouraged her early drawings, and as a teenager she began taking commissions to illustrate stories for families and individuals.

Pont's work centers on three main themes: relationships between people (particularly love), the kitchen and everything surrounding it, and nature—especially plants and botanical studies. Inspired by botanical illustrator Marianne North (1830), who traveled the world twice painting rare species, as well as the women in her own family, Pont's illustrations explore the intersection of femininity, domesticity, and the natural world through a lens of sensitivity and everyday observation.

She currently works as a professional illustrator while developing her practice as a teacher, finding unexpected passion in education.
