Andy Warhol. Love, Sex & Desire. 45th Ed.

Sale price€40,00

Andy Warhol: Love, Sex, and Desire explores a lesser-known chapter in the work of American Pop Art icon Andy Warhol, bringing together more than 300 rarely seen drawings of male beauty created between 1950 and 1962.

Selected by the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, these intimate works reveal Warhol’s fascination with the male form, combining expressive linework, playful details, and subtle humour. The book revisits a body of work that challenged the conservative attitudes of its time, accompanied by essays from art writers Blake Gopnik and Drew Zeiba, an introduction by Michael Dayton Hermann, and poems by James Baldwin, Allen Ginsberg, and other writers. Together, they offer a revealing perspective on Warhol’s artistic development, queer desire, and the early ideas that shaped his later career.
