About the Artist

Eybaba — Berlin-Based Fine Artist

Eybaba’s work is an intimate exploration of identity, shaped by his dual heritage as a half-
Persian, half-German gay man. Central to his visual language is the color blue — a hue
steeped in Iranian tradition, evoking spirituality, depth, and quiet resilience. He uses it to
gently dissolve the rigid, often hypermasculine stereotypes imposed on Middle Eastern
men, offering instead a space for vulnerability, tenderness, and self-expression.
Through painting, Eybaba navigates the complexities of belonging, emotion, and
queerness across cultures.
