About the Artist

Nicolae Negură is a Romanian visual artist and illustrator currently based in Lisbon, Portugal. His work focuses on figurative painting and drawing, engaging with themes of personal narrative, identity, and the human condition. His practice is marked by expressive figuration influenced by vintage comics, combining vivid colors with soft gradients and bold, irregular contours.

Laceoni, an anagram of Nicolae’s name, is used as a signature for personal projects that focus on relationships, emotion, and the representation of the human figure.
