Born in Finland, Touko Laaksonen developed his distinctive biker characters in the 1950s, inspired by the rugged style of motorcycle riders and working men. The book brings together early illustrations from Physique Pictorial, drawings of Kake—the artist’s famous biker character—and comic panels, sketches, and archival material celebrating the visual language of leather, motorcycles, and masculine identity.
