TOILETPAPER is an artist magazine created in Milan, Italy, by Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari, centered around their shared focus on image-making.
Each visual begins with a simple concept that evolves through a carefully produced process into a striking and distinctive composition. Since its first issue in June 2010, the publication has remained entirely image-based, combining elements of commercial photography with surreal and unexpected visual narratives.
The result is a sequence of ambiguous and imaginative scenes, presented in a format that operates both as a magazine and as an independent artistic object. Through its wide distribution, TOILETPAPER engages with contemporary visual culture and explores the boundaries of image production.
