About the Artist

HORNO is an Argentinian queer artist whose playful, subversive illustrations celebrate gay eroticism and intimacy with disarming charm. Working under this moniker—a combination of "Horacio" and "porno"—the artist creates two distinct styles of artwork that challenge heteronormative perspectives while maintaining an approachable, almost childlike aesthetic.

The HORNO series features close-up, line-drawn moments of gay intimacy rendered in hot and cool color combinations, focusing on sensual details that often go unnoticed—when nipples touch, when a hand reaches for a bulge, the anticipation before contact. Rather than depicting explicit mechanical acts, HORNO emphasizes individual sensual moments as part of a greater whole, making sex seem like a form of play through simple lines and playful colors.

The SOFT HORNO series reimagines the classic "bear" archetype, depicting bearded men whose initial cuteness conceals edgier details: piercings, subtle tattoos, body glitter, dog collars, and drag. Some pieces feature bears inserted into iconic pop diva moments, removing the masculine archetype from its visual comfort zone.

Inspired by Tom of Finland's curved lines and mischievous, perverted innocence, HORNO uses pastel and colorful palettes to make provocative scenes easier to observe and less shocking. The artist's mission is to gradually naturalize same-sex intimacy and feelings, contributing to greater acceptance through art that initially generates confusion before delivering an "Ahhhh, that was it" moment of recognition.
